Sun, sea and ice cream
We had a double-destination holiday: a week on Koločep, a teeny tiny island in the beautiful blue Adriatic, and a few days in Dubrovnik before flying home much happier, fatter and frecklier! Although only half an hour away by boat, the island felt a world apart from the hustle and bustle of the city. With two tiny villages, no cars, four little restaurants, one hotel and lots of boats, it was perfect for relaxing, exploring and of course swimming in the sea. I’ve never seen water so clear, or eaten calamari so delicious, or been anywhere so peaceful, or had quite so many ice creams in one week. It was just perfect!
If you are considering a visit (and really, you should) feel free to ask me for some recommendations – we stayed in a great apartment, visited all the restaurants on the island, had a boat trip to nearby Lopud, and discovered some brilliant swimming spots. I’ll be back later in the week with pictures of Dubrovnik, tips on spotting Game of Thrones locations, and details of where to get the best ice cream in the city!
