Share the love
Things are busy busy busy in my neck of the woods this week, but I wanted to stop by to share some linky love with you. These are all things that have been making me smile in spite of a bad cold, and some sad news, and general stressiness.
I won this brilliant We Are Yoke print in the super fun giveaway over at Conversation Pieces! What a lucky girl I am! I am so excited about finding the perfect place for it in my flat. And if you fancy a laugh, pop over to the giveaway post and read through all the entries. Asking people to enter with a joke is completely genius!
Being sick over the weekend did have some advantages. Not many, as it meant I missed out on a weekend of cupcake decorating, baby cuddling and blook clubbing, but there was one main plus point: I finally got round to watching Borgen, a brilliant Danish political drama which is gripping but requires concentration because, well, it’s in Danish. It’s also excellent; totally worth a weekend of coughing and congestion!
Avenue Q was playing in Edinburgh last week. I didn’t go but I wish I had, and I’ve been consoling myself by listening to the soundtrack on repeat this week (with the odd burst of Mylo Xyloto and Ceremonials when I fancy a change)! Basically like a very adult version of Sesame Street, the show is hilarious and the songs on their own are just as good. It’s touring just now so if it comes to a theatre near you, you should go. Just don’t take your mother.
If you’re more into romance than rude puppets, you will definitely love this photo series of New York couples who’ve been together over 50 years. It’s just so beautiful. Thanks to a Cup of Jo for the link! And a warning: have some tissues handy.
So I’ve shared some love with you; what have you got for me?

So jealous of the yoke print! Glad it went to you though. x
Lovely print! I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING I NEED TO SEND TO YOU. Or maybe I’ll just wait and give it to you in NYC. In 25 days. AHHHH!!!
Kate, stop giving me reasons to be a pirate. I wanna watch an engrossing Danish political show.
I love the last picture in that series of the two portraits. Love love love.
