A birthday of many cakes

Thursday was my birthday but I had to work all day so we decided to celebrate on Friday instead. What that really meant was that I had a bumper two day birthday! I was determined that if I had to work on my birthday I was going to do it in my traditional cakey style, so took mini Earl Grey cupcakes with me. On Friday, the ‘official’ celebration day, we had a museum trip followed by a delicious afternoon tea complete with mini cupcakes, chocolate eclairs, fruit tarts and banoffee pies. Yum. But by far the best of the lot is the absolutely amazing Tardis cake made for me by Mr M; isn’t it fabulous?! He has never made me a birthday cake before (in fact, he’s never made a cake before) which makes it even more exciting. He says it is a raggedy Tardis but I just think it is bloomin’ brilliant!

LOVE your earl grey cupcakes! and well done Mr. M, it looks great!!!
EATEAKET! Get in my belly! Oh lordy, I’d forgotten how much jam & double cream they serve you.
Tell Mr. M I LOVE the raggedy Tardis. Wait, nevermind, I can do that myself. Hurray for cakey birthdays!
Well done Mr M – a great effort! Hope you’ve enjoyed all your cakes! x
I repeat. I LOVE the raggedy tardis!
Happy belated birthday!! Looks like it was FULL of tasty treats
