When life gives you lemons …
… make lemonade!

I needed half a lemon for a recipe this week, but the supermarket only had bags of six. What else could I do with five and a half leftover lemons but make lemonade? This was quick and easy and very delicious. My advice to you is this: buy lemons, make lemonade, sit back and enjoy.
Lemonade (recipe from delicious)
Squeeze the juice of 5 or 6 lemons into a really big jug. Add 150g golden caster sugar and 2 cups boiling water then stir until all the sugar has dissolved. Add 600ml cold water (at this point I had to transfer it all into the jug for my blender as my ‘big jug’ was nowhere near big enough!) and mix. Leave in in the fridge overnight then drink at your leisure. I had mine for brunch with friends and some amazing cinnamon bread, of which more later.

Homemade lemonade is the BEST!
Y’see….I would just keep them in a bowl for weeks. Either that or throw them in a G&T!
mmm! I’ve never made lemonade. I really, really should, because this sounds great.
Rachel – go for it!
And Katy – that was my inclination too, but I was determined to be more productive!
