The great outdoors

June 29, 2011

Look what’s just emerged in our garden!  I was hanging out the laundry tonight when I spotted this glorious sight and had to rush back inside for my camera.  The first of our lovely big pink poppies, seeds taken from my parents’ garden before they moved.  It’s lovely to have connections with my childhood home growing in our very own garden.

I’ll be seeing a bit more of the great outdoors over the next few days as we’re going to stay in a wigwam for the weekend in celebration of Mr M’s birthday.  Bring on the s’mores!
