Snapshots

May 23, 2011

Honey, I’m home!  We had a perfect week consisting mainly of relaxing, pottering, photographing and eating!  On the eve of my return to work (boy, do I have the blues tonight) I thought I’d share some snapshots with you.  Our beautiful cottage, boating on the river, gorgeous gardens and lots and lots of cake.  If you’re ever in the area our top tips for North Yorkshire include Newby Hall (and especially its grounds – along with stunning gardens they had a mini train and a flying fox!), Harrogate turkish baths (soooooooo relaxing) and of course Bettys tea rooms.  Yum yum yum.  I’ve returned a few pounds heavier but a whole lot happier, and thankful that I survived the Segwaying intact!  Roll on the next holiday … four weeks and counting.

So, what did I miss?

Aw, it’s lovely. I love North Yorks and I absolute love Betty’s! One of my favourite authors Gervase Phinn writes about North Yorks and I can always picture the landscape so clearly in my head. I’m so pleased that you had a great time and hope that going back to work tomorrow isn’t too tough. Although I did hear on the news tonight that the Forth Bridge is closed so I’m hoping that might give you an extra day off. x
