Christmas crafting

December 20, 2010

I started my weekend off with the best intentions to catch up with my festive blogging, but then life and Christmas crafting got in the way and now it’s Monday morning again!  I thought the least I could do is to share some of the things that have been keeping me away from you these last few days.  If you’re looking for a last minute gift idea, you’ve come to the right place!  I’ve made a few of these patchwork stars over the weekend; some are filled with rice which I scented with essential oils, and will act as wardrobe or drawer scenters or just decorations for my grannies; some are filled with soft stuffing and a little bell and will act as a festive toy for a little one, minus the button.

Each one only took an hour or so from start to finish (the hardest bit was filling them with rice when I don’t have a funnel!) so if you’re looking for a lovely last minute craft check out Linaloo‘s tutorial here.

Also, if you’re wondering why my photos look so different from normal it’s because silly me dropped my camera so it’s away at the camera hospital.  I’m either persuading Mr M to take my photos for me, or attempting to use his much fancier camera myself until my little one recovers!

Thank you! I’m just terrified of it – it’s so big and has so many settings, and I’m just so scared of breaking it! Am quite pleased with the results though =D

Oooh, simple, clever & cute—my favorite combo!

I’m scared of fancy camera’s too! I’ve been using my mom’s lately & it freaks me out, but so far so good.

Say hello
