It’s my blog friend Christine‘s birthday today, and as she’s a huge Harry Potter fan and her birthday (almost) coincides with the release of the latest film, I thought we could celebrate with a selection of Potty cakes!
A Gryffindor theme, the sorting hat AND the Marauder’s map? What’s not to love about this cake?!
These are just so cute and clever – especially the golden snitches!

Ok, I feel like a jerk ’cause you probably think I didn’t see or was ignoring this BUT I WASN’T! My iPhone apparently never posted the comment I left—STUPID TECHNOLOGY. So we’ll pretend it’s my birthday & I just saw this.

OH MY GOSH! I love this so very, very much—thank you so much, bloggy friend Kate! No one made me a cake (or cupcakes or pie) this year, but I’m kinda glad they didn’t ’cause I would’ve wanted something like the above and anything less would have disappointing. But you, you give me FOUR different cakes/cupcakes and it makes my nerdy heart so very happy. THANKS MY DEAR! Now I am thinking I MUST try to make something like the bottom cupcakes for part two in July.
