Feeling festive

November 7, 2010

I’ve had an oddly festive day today: I’ve been busy working on some homemade Christmas presents and making sprout soup (of which more later), eating more of that mini stollen and accidentally listening to Christmas songs.  It really was an accident, honestly; I forgot that this album has some bonus festive tunes at the end!  Although it’s clearly far too early to purposefully put on a Christmas cd, surely there’s nothing wrong with just not turning off a cd that happens to be Christmassy?!

Anyway.  All this festive activity reminded me that Starbucks red cups are back this week (with a new design I’m not quite sure about yet), and although I’m still to have my first gingerbread latte of the season it seemed appropriate to celebrate with some red cup photographic loveliness!  Tell me I’m not the only one who loves a red cup?

Oh, I am loving red cup season – in our house it is the ‘official’ start of pre-christmas. But I’m also not sure about this years design – not quite as festive or special as previous years. Still, red cups… yip yip!

i love sprout soup too! shall look forward to hearing about how you make yours.

and yes, the red cups are highly exciting, i’m waiting for the right moment for my annual eggnog latte…but i must confess, i’ve got my very own gingerbread syrup which i bought last year at whittards, so i’ve sneakily been drinking festive coffee all year round. so i think i can excuse you a christmas CD in mid-November :)

Red cup love represent! I am sipping from one right now (Cinnamon Dolce) and pretending it is cold outside. Though I’m not too keen on this years design, but still, it’s a red cup!

Aww, lovely! My friend and I text each other the same message every year, which goes a little like this: “The red cups are here!!!!”

    Happy Christmassy Times :)

The red cups are festive. I’m looking forward to my first peppermint mocha of the season. It got warmer again, so I’m going to wait until it’s slightly chilly. I’m curious about the sprout soup, too, so be sure to revisit that topic!
