A welcoming gift

I mentioned that my best friend had a baby this weekend, didn’t I? Well, as a little welcome to the world gift I made him this penguin, based on the same pattern as that bear I made for Anna last year. He’s far from perfect – he’s a bit square and squishy (I felt the bear was a bit too oval but I think I over-compensated this time) - but I’m hoping Oliver won’t mind too much, and that he likes penguins as much as his parents do! And they mate for life, you know, which seems apt in this anniversary week!

Cute penguin. I’ve been thinking about making a penguin for my baby girl for a while now…. I should give it a try.
