Magical movies
There are several films out over the festive period that I am keen to see (Nowhere Boy and Did you hear about the Morgans, anyone?) but these two are definitely top of my wishlist.
I loved the book when I was younger, and in fact one of the lines has entered into the normal vocabulary of my family. There are lots of quotes from books and films and songs of our childhood that have just become part of our everyday language! The trailers for the film version look amazingly beautiful, and I am so excited about seeing it at last!
I’m not such a longtime fan of Sherlock Holmes, but this version looks so swashbucklingly fun, and features such fabulous actors (Rachel McAdams is one of my favourites, and you really can’t argue with Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr) that I am super excited to see this once the festive fun is over! Much though I love the cinema, I can’t really understand why anyone would go on Christmas Day when there are so many fun things to do!

Yay, where the wild things are looks ace! Got good reviews too. I introduced Iain to the joy of Please Mrs Butler last night, he now understands “do what you think best – put it up your vest”

Hurrah for Please Mrs Butler! WWWTA was impressive but really odd!
